Electoral history of John Dingell

This is the Electoral history of John Dingell, a Democratic Representative from Detroit, representing the 15th and 16th districts. Dingell was first elected in a 1955 special election to replace his late father, and was re-elected in every subsequent election until his retirement in 2014. He is the longest serving member of the United States House of Representatives, and the United States Congress overall.
