Edward Lasquete is a Filipino pole vaulter who competed at the 1992 Summer Olympics. At the Olympics, he was not able to make a podium finished, but set a national record in pole vaulting by registering a record of 5.0 meters. This record would only be broken 22 years later in 2014 by Ernest Obiena. He is the first Southeast Asian to break the 5.0 mark in pole vault.

Lasquete also won gold at the pole vault event of the 1991 Southeast Asian Games, establishing a record of 4.80 meters. He was not part of the Philippine delegation to the 1993 Southeast Asian Games. At the 1997 Southeast Asian Games he duplicated his record at the 1991 Southeast Asian Games registering 4.80 meters but only won silver. Hendiarsin Oslan of Indonesia won gold who also registered 4.80 meters.
