Edward Sanderson


Edward Frederick Sanderson (1874–1955) was a Congregational minister who served in Beverly, Massachusetts, Central Congregational Church in Providence, Rhode Island and at Plymouth Church of the Pilgrims in Brooklyn Heights, New York.

Sanderson graduated from Amherst College in 1896 and Hartford Theological Seminary in 1899. He married Ethel Eames in 1912.

He was one of the founders of the New York Goodwill in 1915. He preached at Wellesley College also in 1915.

He retired to Nantucket and was a benefactor of Nantucket Whaling Museum, collecting artifacts related to whaling.
