Edmonton sportsdome

Edmonton Sportsdome (formerly the Golfdome) is a arena in Edmonton, Alberta. The arena consists of Celtic Hall, Spikes, The FunDome, and a mini golf course. It is commonly referred to as the '‘big blue and white bubble’'. The arena is home of the SBHL, Oil City Derby Girls, and the E-Ville Roller Derby league. However, the other E-Ville Roller Derby arena Kingsway Hangar still stands. The arena replaced Metro Sportsplex, Mayfield Trade Center and the Kingsway Hangar. Prior to 2011, it was called the Golfdome. In February 2017, the dome had a small sprinkler head pop last night and had the building water shut off for a short time. This caused the fire alarms to also go off. There was no fire. Things were back up and running within an hour. After an E-Ville Roller Derby game on February 18, 2017, it was announced that the arena would be nicknamed The LoudHouse.
