East Pilton

East Pilton is a housing scheme in the north of Edinburgh, Scotland. It is north of Ferry Road, west of Boswall, south of Royston Mains and Wardieburn and east of West Pilton. East Pilton is generally considered to be part of the Granton area.

Built on the lands of East Pilton Farm in the 1930s by Glasgow based builder Mactaggart & Mickel to a street layout by the Edinburgh City Architect Ebenezer James MacRae, the streets mainly take various Crewe and Pilton names. Streets in the new development on the site of the demolished Bruce Peebles engineering works take the East Pilton Farm name. The original estate comprises mostly four-in-the-block flatted villas similar to those by the same builder at Carrick Knowe and Colinton Mains.
