Engie IT or Engie Information & Technologies (former GDF Suez IT) is the major IT department of Engie energy group launched by senior executive Jean-Michel Carboni in 2010 (revenue in 2012 : €610 millions). Engie's global IT (Engie IT, DSI, Business Units) is the largest IT service of European continent (global revenue : €1,2 billion in 2015).

History

Historically each department, subsidiary or branch of Gaz de France group had their own IT service department. After the merger of Gaz de France and Suez in 2008, the strategy was to pool all IT services of the two energy groups and in 2009 the Secretary-General, Jean-Michel Carboni, began the mutualization process.

In 2010, ENGIE IT (at that time named GDF Suez IT) was founded and managed by senior executive : Jean-Michel Carboni. He is the CEO of the subsidiary between 2010 and 2014.

In 2015, ENGIE IT with all subsidiaries attached (DSI and IT services of other Business Units) achieved a total sales of €1,2 billion.
