Dynamics 365 is a cloud service launched by Microsoft in July 2016 under the codename 'Madeira'. Microsoft plans to combine its cloud CRM and ERP services into a single offering, Dynamics 365, and will also include applications to manage field service sales, marketing, project service automation, financials, operations, and customer service.

Dynamics 365 unifies CRM and ERP capabilities by delivering new purpose-built applications to help manage specific business functions, including Dynamics 365 for Sales, Dynamics 365 for Customer Service, Dynamics 365 for Field Service, Dynamics 365 for Project Service Automation and Dynamics 365 for Operations. Dynamics 365 for Operations is the new version of the ERP system that previously was known as Dynamics AX.
