Driss Sekkat is an executive producer and documentary filmmaker.
In 2013-2014, Sekkat won the CINE Golden Eagle Award and the CINE Special Jury Award for his investigative documentary Street Pulse.
The award winning documentary put the spotlight on the poor working conditions of quarry workers in Egypt was also named a 2013 New York Festival Finalist.
In 2013, Sekkat was the winner of the CINE Golden Eagle Award for Rayheen Ala Feen, Egypt's first reality show of its kind.
In 2014, Sekkat created and executive produced "Our Neighborhood" , a docu-reality series that explores different neighborhoods inside Cairo.
In 2015, Sekkat won the Bronze World Medal at The New York Festivals for his investigative documentary on cemetery residents in Cairo.
In 2016, Sekkat produced a trilogy on violent extremism entitled "The Invisible Enemy"
Driss Sekkat holds a B.A. in journalism from Ohio Wesleyan University
