The DR30 was a type of laptop computer battery used during the 1990s. This 7.2V battery used nickel metal hydride batteries cells, and provided 2800-3200 mAh (approximately 20~23 Wh compared to 30~90 Wh seen in current-day laptop batteries) of energy.

This battery fell out of use when lithium ion batteries became popular in the later 90's, due to their higher energy density. Duracell stopped producing DR30s in 1996, although generic equivalents can still be purchased today.
