Dr. Annasaheb Shinde College of Agricultural Engineering, Rahuri, Maharashtra is named after late Dr. Annasaheb Shinde, former Union Minister of State for Agriculture. Dr. Shinde was one of the architects of Green Revolution in India and White Revolution in Maharashtra especially in Ahmednagar district. He took tireless effort in establishing the Mahatma Phule Krishi Vidyapeeth at Rahuri.

History
This College was established in 1969 for B.Tech. In 1982, post graduate. degree programme was started. Students of the instituters are showing fabulous performance in academic as well as in extracurricular activities. The graph of the success is increasing batches by batches. Students are very much succeed in competitive exams like GATE, ICAR-JRF, MPSC, UPSC, MBA entrance exams, GRE, TOFEL, CDS, and various world-class competitions. Hence the college have excellent past and hoping for same.
Courses undertaken
The College imparts education in the discipline of:
- Agricultural Process Engineering
- Farm Machinery and Power
- Farm Structures and Rural Electrification
- Irrigation and Drainage Engineering
- Soil and Water Conservation Engineering
In addition to these, other agricultural and basic science courses such as Botany, Plant Pathology, Mathematics, Physics and Statistics are offered as supporting courses.
Admissions
On the basis of the performance in XII standard, with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics, students are given admission to B.Tech. For M.Tech. the minimum qualification is B.Tech. The academic programme is of two year duration for M.Tech. (4 semesters) and four years for B.Tech. (8 semesters) including one month Summer Placement Training at the end of second and third years for B.Tech. During the fourth year, students are trained and guided to have individual design project culminating with Project Report.
