Star Raiders - Atari ST Longplay

Doug Neubauer is an American video game designer and programmer best known for the 1979 video game Star Raiders.

Wanting to create an action-oriented Star Wars, Star Trek-type game, Neubauer designed Star Raiders in around eight to ten months while working for Atari. He reported that it took him six months to reach the highest player level during development. He later wrote Solaris for the Atari 2600, which is a spiritual sequel to Star Raiders, and one of the most technically accomplished games for the 2600.
