The dot-winged crake (Porzana spiloptera) is a species of bird in the family Rallidae. Despite its visual similarities, it probably does not belong to the genus Porzana; like the Yellow-breasted crake, which was variously placed in Hapalocrex, Micropygia, Poliolimnas or Porzana, it seems to form a badly-resolved complex with the mainly Neotropical crakes of genera Anurolimnas, Coturnicops and Laterallus.
