Don't Cry, Frenchy is a World War I song written by Sam M. Lewis and Joe Young and composed by Walter Donaldson. The song was published in 1919 by Waterson, Berlin & Snyder Co., in New York, New York. The sheet music cover, illustrated by Albert Barbelle, originally stated Don't Cry Frenchy, Don't Cry and in later editions was changed to Don't Cry, Frenchy. Don't Cry, Frenchy was 19th in the top 20 charts in May and June 1919 and was recorded by both Lewis James and Charles Hart & Elliot Shaw.
