The Dogwood Stakes is an American Thoroughbred horse race run annually at Churchill Downs racetrack in Louisville, Kentucky. Once held in late May but now in the early Fall, the Grade III event is open to three-year-old fillies. It is currently contested on dirt over a distance of 7 furlongs.

Since its inauguration in 1975, the race has been contested at a variety of distances:

  • 7 furlongs : 1975-1981, 2013 to present
  • 8.5 furlongs : 1982, 1986-2005
  • 8 furlongs : 2006 to 2012
  • 9 furlongs : 1983-1985
  • The Dogwood Stakes was run in two divisions in 1981.
