Doga, a famous Indian Superhero appearing in Raj Comics is about to come on bollywood screens. Film director Anurag Kashyap has recently expressed his interest in making such a movie, that will be the first Indian comic book superhero series which will have a big screen adaptation. Kashyap, had previously stated that he wanted to make a film on Doga. Currently the project is in starting process but it has been stated that the ground work will be started very soon. His production company phantom Films and Sony International will take care of the project. Madhu Mantena of Phantom films has recently said that she is happy to back Anurag's vision of Doga for the film. It has been said that Anurag and Madhu will be working closely with Sanjay Gupta and Manish Gupta of Raj Comics for this project.

Internationally the success of Marvel movies such as Iron Man and The Avengers have made this one of the most lucrative genres of film making.

About Doga

Doga is the only antihero character in Raj Comics. The special characteristic of Doga is his renowned hatred for crime and criminals. This crime hate factor always charge him up equally for every wrong doer he comes across. His attitude of showing no mercy towards criminals is hugely popular for his one-man army image. Due to his huge fan following Doga is considered to be among the three most popular superheroes created by Raj Comics, the other two are snakeman Nagraj and young Super Commando Dhruva. Doga is a vigilante who believes in Uprooting the problem rather than solving it. He does not believe in upholding the laws and rules of the world since he considers the whole system is corrupt.
