The DoD Secure Kiosk (DSK) is a thin client-derived, custom-built, browsing appliance using a run-time environment (RTE) instead of an operating system to execute only the code it boots from read-only memory. It was designed by the Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) to be exceptionally secure, low-cost to purchase, and need no maintenance/updating.

DSK is accredited by the USAF for use on NIPRNet. Its deployed across the Air Force in every JAG office and several, major aircraft depots.
