General Directorate of Patents and Trademarks (Albanian: Drejtoria e Patentave dhe Markave) is a public institution subordinated to the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Energy. The activity of this institution and is regulated by Law 9947 dated. 07/07/2008 "On Industrial Property. " This institution provides for the granting and protection of these objects of Industrial Property: Inventions and usage patterns, Dizeniove Industrial, Commercial and Service Marks, and Appellation Gjegrafikë indications of origin, Topographies and integrated circuits.
