Dina is named after a saint Baba Dina Shaeed whose tomb lies near GT road in the Domeli Mohalla. There were Hindus and Sikhs before the partition. It has a railway and police station as well. It is gate of Kashmir and there are two colleges and two higher secondary schools in the city.
Dina Tehsil is an administrative subdivision (tehsil) of Jhelum District in the Punjab province of Pakistan. The city of Dina is the headquarters of the tehsil .
An emerging trading city.it has been developed to a modern town in no time.
