Lyrics Constantin Belimace, 1888 |
Dimãndari Pãrinteascã (English: The will of our Forefathers) is an Aromanian poem written in 1888 exhorting parents to teach their children the language, instead of assimilating into the other Balkan (predominantly into the Greek) ethnicities. As a result it is often used as a kind of national anthem by nationalist Aromanians.
History
The anthem was written in 1888 in Bucharest by Constantin Belimace, an aromanian poet.
