Diaphania contactalis is a moth in the Crambidae family. It was described by Dognin in 1903. It is found in Colombia, Venezuela, Brazil, Peru, Ecuador and Bolivia. The habitat consists of cloud forests.

The length of the forewings is 11.9-13 mm for males and 12.1-13.3 mm for females. The forewings are light-brown and with a light purple gloss. There is a translucent, almost triangu1ar band on the hindwings.
