Des Meagher (7 March 1944 – 9 March 2011) was an Australian rules footballer who played with Hawthorn in the Victorian Football League (VFL).

Meagher was a left footed wingman and was recruited to Hawthorn from Old Xaverians. He debuted for Hawthorn in 1966 and such was his swift rise that by the following season he was playing interstate football for Victoria. In 1971 he played in the Hawks' winning Grand Final against St Kilda; it would be his only Premiership. He was coach of the Hawthorn's reserves team which consistently played finals during the 1980s and won a Premiership in 1985.

Death
Meagher died on 9 March 2011, two days after his 67th birthday. The place and cause of death have not been released.
