Derek Robert Wallace (born September 1, 1971) is a former professional baseball player who pitched two seasons in Major League Baseball. He attended college at Pepperdine. In 1996, he played for the New York Mets and in 1999 he played for the Kansas City Royals. Wallace compiled a career record of 2-4 in 27 games and an ERA of 3.82. Derek was born in Van Nuys, California in 1971. Wallace batted and threw right-handed. He holds the distinction of having tied a Major League record by striking out four batters in one inning.
