The Rashava-Deralok Dam is a gravity dam currently being constructed on the Great Zab River just upstream of the town of Deralok in Dohuk Governorate, Kurdistan region of Iraq. For its primary purpose, the dam will support a 37.6 MW run-of-the-river hydroelectric power station. Construction on the dam began in November 2015 when Kurdish Prime Minister Nechirvan Barzani inaugurated the project.. The US$129 million contract to build the dam and power station was awarded to a Boland Payeh-Farab Consortium. It is being financed by the Japan International Cooperation Agency. The project is expected to be complete in mid-2019.
