Deori Omem Moyong

Shrimati Deori, Omem Moyong (born July 2, 1943, died Dec 19, 2007) was an Indian politician from Arunachal Pradesh belonging to Indian National Congress. She was a member of the influential Congress Working Committee for many years.

She was Member of Rajya Sabha for the term, 27-5-1984 to 19-3-1990 from Arunachal Pradesh. She was President of Arunachal Pradesh Pradesh Congress Committee.

She is the recipient of Padma Shri award in 1984.

She was married to T S Deori and had two daughters and three sons.

She fell ill, and died on 19 December 2007. The state of Arunachal Pradesh declared a mourning holiday to commemorate her death.
