Deona mandi


Deona is a town of Gujrat District in the Punjab province of Pakistan. It is 7 km from Gujrat city and about 9 km from Lalamusa travelling on the Grand Trunk Road. It is also the site of an old railway station, which was abolished and leveled in 2008. Deona Mandi is also a Union Council of District Gujrat. It is a hub to many villages around such as Juliani and Channi, fulfilling the daily consumer needs of the people of these villages. This town is well known for its educational institutions such as Government Islamia High School, The Risers School and College, and the Allied School governed by Punjab Group of collages and the Al-Flah academy higher secondary school . Deona village also has very popular political personalities. Ashraf Deona is currently Mpa of pp112 ch Afzaal Deona is another very popular politician from Deona. Around 1/3 of the male population currently works abroad in the middle east and Europe. Deona group is planning to go for a MNA seat in the next election and it's village as like city.
