Club career

O'Sullivan won the Irish Under–14 Cup with Wilton United in 2008, scoring twice in the final. She also netted in the senior Wilton United team's 3–1 FAI Women's Cup final defeat in August 2011. She turned out for Peamount United in the 2011–12 UEFA Women's Champions League. After Peamount's exit from Europe she returned to Cork and joined the newly founded Cork Women's FC who compete in the FAI Bus Éireann sponsored Women's National League. She scored her first goal for Cork Women's FC in their 3–1 away win over Wexford Youths Women's FC at Ferrycarrig Park on 15 January 2012.

In July 2013 O'Sullivan signed for Scottish champions Glasgow City, ahead of their 2013–14 UEFA Women's Champions League campaign. She marked her debut with a goal, in City's 2–0 dismissal of local rivals Rangers.

She signed with Houston Dash in March 2016. Whilst international players were away for the Olympics, O'Sullivan earned a starting position in central midfield which she kept when internationals returned.

International career

While a pupil at Terence McSwiney Secondary School in Knocknaheeny, Cork, O'Sullivan represented the Republic of Ireland at Schools level. She played in Ireland's 2010 FIFA U-17 Women's World Cup campaign, scoring in the quarter final defeat to Japan.

On her senior debut in September 2011, O'Sullivan scored both goals in Ireland's 2–0 UEFA Women's Euro 2013 qualifying win over Wales in Newport.
