Demokraatti is a Finnish language newspaper published in Helsinki, Finland.
History and profile
Demokraatti was established in 1895. The paper is headquartered in Helsinki and is the organ of the Social Democrat Party. The paper is published five times a week. In late 1997 another social democrat paper, Turun Päivälehti, merged with Demari and they began to publish the same material although it preserved its name.
The circulation of Demari was 25,000 copies in 1997.
