Democratic camp (Chinese: 民主派), other names are referred to Democrats, opposition camp, is used to indicate the people who want a democratic constitution in Hong Kong, it includes the Pan-democracy camp and the Localists.

Political camps

  • Pro-democracy camp: The second largest camp in the Hong Kong Legislative Council has a higher percentage of votes in the geographical constituency elections from 1991 to 2012 than the Pro-Beijing camp , The number of seats in the district election and the proportion of vote in it have been affected by the fragmentation of other localists in 2016. However, in the District Council (Second) Functional Constituency, the democrats grabbed nearly 60% of the votes, while the Pro-Beijings only got around 40% of the votes, which leads the votes back to the 6:4 ratio.
  • Self-determination camp: The joint-third largest camp in the Hong Kong legislature, which calls for self-determination of Hong Kong and fight of social justice.
  • Localist camp: The joint-third largest camp in the Hong Kong legislature, which calls for Hong Kong Independence from PRC, or self-determination of Hong Kong future after 2047.
  • Pro-Taiwan camp: The Pro-Taiwan camp no longer have any seats in the Legislative Council but do have one in the District Council. It promotes the success of the democratic constitution in Taiwan and hope that it can either be implied in Hong Kong or having the Republic of China (Taiwan) to take over Hong Kong.
