Delightsome Land School is a Nigerian private school located in Victoria Island, Lagos. It is a crèche, preschool and primary school that offers enrollment to pupils from preschool through primary 6. On February 19, 2015, the school's director, Tayo Olarewaju granted an interview to Cool FM Nigeria on their "Good Morning Nigeria" show where she discussed at length the impact she had had on educating Nigerian children over the years.

History

Delightsome Land School is one of many competitive schools in Victoria Island, an affluent Island situated between Lagos Island and Lekki Peninsula. It was established January 2000 with the clear-cut objective of building a solid foundation for children from their very tender age. Delightsome Land School was founded by Mrs. Tayo Olarewaju, a Lagos business school alumnus and a mentor at Fate Foundation, a foundation that helps and mentors people who want to start private school. She is a columnist at Timeless magazine and she is the vice president of Scout Association of Nigeria, Eko division. She has published the book "Life's Lessons".

On August 14, 2005, Delightsome Land School garnered nation-wide scrutiny when her interview with Vanguard Newspaper was published in their "Education Weekly" section where she unselfishly implored Nigerian Government to put more funds into public schools despite being a proprietress of a private school. Myriads of newspaper and radio interviews followed thereafter culminating in her school being frequented by Nigerian major journalists.
