The Declaration of Independence of The Negro Peoples of The World was drafted and adopted at the first international convention of the Universal Negro Improvement Association and African Communities League held in New York, 1920, over which Marcus Garvey presided as Chairman, and at which he was elected Provisional President of Africa.
