Death, Jr. and the Science Fair of Doom is a Nintendo DS platformer game developed by Backbone Entertainment, and is one of the sequels to the PlayStation Portable game Death Jr. released in 2005. The other is Death Jr. II: Root of Evil for the PSP. In this game, Death, Jr. and Pandora are both playable. The game uses both screens, as well as the touch capabilities. It also features local wireless multiplayer. In a sense this title acts as Death Jr. III.

Summary

Death, Jr. and the Science Fair of Doom Death Jr and the Science Fair of Doom Wikipedia

It's the worst science fair ever as Death, Jr. and his pals make their way through a crazy world of science projects gone wrong! Use the touch pad to execute cool scythe combos. Switch between DJ and Pandora and play seriously twisted mini-games in a warped and twisted platform adventure.

DJ

Death, Jr. (DJ) is just like any other kid. Well except that he is dead, defeats monsters and can make a robe look cool. He has buds to hang out with though. In case he just wants to kick back on a couch and watch a good zombie DVD on Friday instead of causing trouble, he can invite some of these folks along. Not all of them are thrilled DJ has gotten them into this mess though. DJ uses his scythe to destroy enemies and to perform special abilities.

Pandora

She's cute, smart, and doesn't take anything from anyone. Pandora likes hanging out with her fellow freaks because they're more real than the other "normal" kids. She's only got one weakness: if there is a door closed, a locker locked, or a hallway hidden, Pandora will be hooked. She doesn't look for trouble, but it sure knows how to find her... In this game Pandora is "killed" at the beginning of the story so she appears as a ghost this time. The player mainly controls DJ but can switch to Pandora on the fly by simply tapping a symbol on the touch screen. Since Pandora is "dead" however the game will switch from material realm to spectral realm where the player has a limited time period to use Pandora's ghostly abilities to solve puzzles and open pathways through which DJ can progress.

Reception

The game was met with mixed to negative reception, as GameRankings gave it a score of 50.42% while Metacritic gave it 47 out of 100.
