Dešenice is a market town (městys) in Klatovy District in the Plzeň Region of the Czech Republic.

The town covers an area of 31.39 square kilometres (12.12 sq mi), and has a population of 669 (as at 31 December 2007).
Dešenice lies approximately 16 kilometres (10 mi) south-west of Klatovy, 55 km (34 mi) south of Plzeň, and 128 km (80 mi) south-west of Prague.
