David Thorpe is the Executive Director of the Pro Training Center in Clearwater, Florida. Thorpe also works for Scouts Inc. as a part of ESPN's NBA coverage and is a regular contributor to the TrueHoop blog along with Henry Abbott.
Thorpe got his start as a high school assistant coach. He then went into personal training in the early-to-mid 1990s, training some of Florida's top high schoolers. As his work began to include more collegiate and professional players, he started the Pro Training Center.

Thorpe has been married since 1990 and is the father of twins. He is a graduate of the University of Florida and owns a Vizsla dog. [1]
