David Ramsay Clendenin

David Ramsay Clendenin (June 24, 1830 – March 5, 1895) was an American Union brevet brigadier general during the period of the American Civil War. He served with the 8th Illinois Cavalry.

He received his appointment as brevet brigadier general dated to February 20, 1865. He retired in 1891 at the rank of colonel.

Clendenin was one of 9 members of the military commission that tried and convicted the Lincoln conspirators.

He is buried at Oneida Cemetery in Oneida, Illinois.
