David Richard Newton studied Fine Art at Nottingham Trent University and Illustration at the Royal College of Art. He has exhibited extensively in group and solo exhibitions. His work is held in private and public collections; including the permanent collection of the Science Museum London. Newton's work can be seen in the BBC your paintings archive. Newton has exhibited with Turner Prize winner Chris Ofili, Nobel and Webster, and Tracey Emin.
Early Life and Education
Born in Birmingham, United Kingdom in 1967. Studied at Bournville College of Art before moving to Nottingham and then London in 1992. Newton attended the Royal College of Art (1992-1994) Newton's tutors included Professor Dan Fern, Professor Andriez Klimowski and Sir Christopher Frayling. During this time Newton was appointed Artist in Residence at The Science Museum, London. The mural based on Nano Technology is now part of the Museums permanent collection.
