David Kirk (author)

David Kirk (born in Ohio, 1955) is the creator of the Miss Spider series of children's books published by Scholastic.

The Miss Spider books have been adapted to a children's television show called Miss Spider's Sunny Patch Friends. David created several toy companies, Ovicular Toyworks, Hoobert Toys, and the Sunny Patch line of toys, marketed by Target stores from 2003 to 2010, and thereafter by Melissa and Doug toys.
