David J. Reimer served as the interim leader of the Christian Heritage Party of Canada, effective February 1, 2014, succeeding Jim Hnatiuk, until November 7, 2014 when Rod Taylor was affirmed leader at the national leadership convention.
Reimer first ran in the 1988 federal election, and has run in subsequent elections. He served the party as Prayer, Ethics and Personnel (PEP) Director, and has previously served as interim leader and as deputy leader. Most recently, he served as interim provincial president for Manitoba. He was appointed to serve as interim leader, pending the next party leadership convention, in January 2014, to succeed Jim Hnatiuk who had submitted his resignation. At the leadership convention on November 7, 2014, Rod Taylor was elected as leader of the party, and Reimer accepted appointment as Prayer, Ethics and Personnel Director.
