The General David Humphreys House, located at 37 Elm St., Ansonia, Connecticut, was built from 1695 to 1698 and is the birthplace of the American Revolutionary War Colonel David Humphreys. Humphreys was a friend of and aide de camp to General George Washington and was nominated by President Washington to become the first ambassador of the United States to a foreign country (Portugal). The historic house museum has been restored to a mid 18th century appearance, and serves as the headquarters for the Derby Historical Society.

The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1972.
