David Durham (fugitive)

David Anthony Durham, who had been pulled over in a routine traffic stop by a Lincoln City, Oregon policeman on the night of 23 January 2011, suddenly shot the officer and fled in his SUV. Responding policemen disabled his vehicle with a spike strip near Waldport, forcing Durham to abandon his vehicle and flee on foot into the nearby woods, while reportedly shooting at boaters on Alsea Bay. Despite an extensive search of the town and surrounding area over the following week by local, state and federal law enforcement officers, Durham was not found and there have been no verified sightings of the man since that night.

A Federal arrest warrant for Durham was issued 29 January 2011, and as of 2016 is still outstanding.
