Daryl Jackson (born 23 November 1979) is a British radio newsreader currently the main afternoon/evening news presenter for Free Radio across Birmingham.

He used to be the news presenter for the Gold Academy Award winning Sam and Amy on Gem 106 in the East Midlands.

He can also occasionally be heard reading the news for the Free Radio network in the West Midlands.

He joined Orion Media in 2013.

From 2000 to 2003 Daryl was a news reader on the award winning Jo and Twiggy breakfast show at Trent FM based in Nottingham, working with Jo Russell and Andy Twigge. He was also a reporter for them, receiving a Sony Academy Radio nomination for his short documentary, Nottingham's New Outlaws.

Daryl Jackson has also worked as a TV producer and reporter, producing output for BBC East Midlands Today and also reporting for ITV news in the North of England.

Between 2006 and 2010, Daryl was News Editor for Smooth Radio in the East Midlands when it was part of the Guardian Media Group. He left in 2010 to join the BBC.

He's also worked as a producer for LBC, and BBC Radio 4.
