Darjan Curanović (born 5 April 1986 in Kranj) is a Slovenian footballer who plays for Austria Klagenfurt as a goalkeeper.

Career

Curanović began his professional career as a member of the Slovenian national team U17 and remained 1st goalkeeper of a Slovenian youth national team until U19. He made his club professional debuts in Olimpija, and later moved to Šenčur, making 24 appearances in the first season, 60 all together in 3 seasons. In 2011 summer he moved to Svoboda, where he made 14 appearances in 6 months, and later moved again to Triglav Kranj.

On 2 July 2012, it was announced that Curanović will have a trial at League One struggler Portsmouth, joining up with the squad in Spanish training camp. Before the trial with Portsmouth, Curanovič told Slovenian daily Ekipa that 'it was a dream come true' However, just before leaving for Spain, a club announced that they have financial problems and cancelled all further talks with him.

In July 2013 Curanović joined Leeds United on trial, as a replacement to injured Jamie Ashdown. However, nothing came of it, and he subsequently returned to Triglav.
