Early life
Danijel Alibabić is the second child of Bosniak father Rasim Alibabić, a musician, and a Montenegrin mother, Olivera, a tourist operator. He has an older brother, Darko, and a younger sister, Sabina. As a child, Danijel attended the Božidar Vuković Podgoričanin Primary School in the Podgorica neighbourhood of Vrela Ribnička, later moving to the Vasa Pavić Primary Music School, majoring in the accordion. He later finished his secondary education at the Vasa Pavić Secondary Music School, majoring in the piano.
Music

Alibabić first appeared in the music business in 1996 when he entered in "Zlatna pahulja," a music festival held in Rožaje. In 2000, he was awarded the prize for best interpretation at "Naša radost" (Our Delight), a children's festival held in Podgorica.

In 2003, Alibabić took part in a popular talent show called Intro Karaoke, organized by TV In, where he came third. Soon after, he and his friends formed No Name - a band that achieved seventh place at the Eurovision Song Contest 2005, where they represented the State Union of Serbia and Montenegro. The band subsequently entered again in Europjesma 2006 for another shot at Eurovision the following year, but the country ultimately withdrew as the Montenegrin independence referendum coincided with the date of the festival. The band dissolved in 2008, and Danijel pursued a solo career.

Alibabić recorded a song with his friend, Serbian singer Ksenija Pajčin, entitled "Supica"; it was released in July 2009. It was one of her final releases before she was murdered in March 2010. The music video was filmed a few months later and was released on 9 January 2010, two months before Pajčin's death. He wrote a song called "Pjesma za Kseniju" (Song For Ksenija) and released it in 2011.
Other activity

Alibabić participated in Veliki Brat VIP 1 - the first season of the Celebrity Big Brother in Montenegro, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Serbia. There, he made it to the final day, ending up in third place.
