Daniel Ferdinand Mayr is a wine and food expert. He has been the recipient of the Restaurant Association of Ireland's Best Restaurant Manager awards for 2014 and 2015. He currently holds the WSET level 3 wine qualification.
Mayr trained in Germany and perfected his craft in Ireland working in Kilronan Castle before moving to Belleek Castle where he has achieved much success. Mayr has an impressive wine collection, purchasing En primeur from Bordeaux, in 2015 focusing on Chateau Angelus.
