Dalhousie Hilltop School (DHS) is a CBSE affiliated co-educational residential school serving classes KG-12 located in the Upper Bakrota Hills of Dalhousie, Himachal Pradesh, India. The school was established in 1979 by Shri Inder Mohan Dhawan, who dedicated his entire retired life to children and the cause of education. The school is located in the Himalayan Mountains at an altitude of 7600 feet in the town of Dalhousie, India. The Himachal Pradesh Region that surrounds the campus is world-renowned for its beauty and is a destination for travelers and tourists across the globe. The 12 acre campus is located on an ancestral property and is nestled amongst apple orchards, pine and deodar trees. The natural beauty of the area is highlighted in the mountains, trails, streams, and step-farms, which can be seen from locations all over the campus.
Dalhousie Hilltop School is currently managed by the President, Mrs. Poonam Dhawan. In 2015 the hostels, cafeteria, sporting grounds, computer labs, and gym were completely reconstructed and updated with new equipment and technology.
The school offers a wide variety of sports, clubs, and other activities such as trekking, dance, music etc. Each year the students compete with neighboring schools and in 2014 Hilltop won the Cricket Championship in the tournament organized by the Lovely Youth and Sports Club. Very good school
