The Daily Freeman is a seven-day-a-week morning newspaper in Kingston, New York, the Ulster County seat. Serving all of Ulster County and parts of three other counties in the Mid-Hudson Valley, the broadsheet publication has a weekday circulation of approximately 22,000. It was founded in 1871 as the Rondout Daily Freeman.

In addition to its Uptown Kingston headquarters, the newspaper has offices in Catskill, Greene County; and Rhinebeck, Dutchess County. The Freeman also covers parts of Southwestern Columbia County.

Freeman reporters were recognized by the New York State Associated Press Association in 2005 for coverage of a shooting at the Hudson Valley Mall on February 13 of that year, and for a series of articles on severe flooding that occurred the following month. Other prominent news events covered by the newspaper include the Woodstock '94 music festival and the marijuana arrests (in 2004 and 2005) of singer Art Garfunkel.

The Freeman is a unionized newspaper. Employees are represented by the Kingston Newspaper Guild. The paper is owned by the Journal Register Company of Yardley, Pennsylvania.
