In Greek mythology, Cynortas /sˈnɔːrtəs/ or Cynortes /sˈnɔːrtz/ (Greek: Κυνόρτας) was a king of Sparta. He was a son of King Amyclas of Sparta and Queen Diomede, brother of Argalus and Hyacinthus and the father of Oebalus or of Perieres.

His tomb was shown near Scias at Sparta.
