The Christ of Toledo Parish Church (Spanish: Parroquia Cristo de Toledo) is a Roman Catholic parish church located in the suburban neighbourhood of Villa García, Montevideo, Uruguay.

History

In 1885 dies Doroteo Garcia, owner of important land extensions in this area. His widow Carolina Lagos decides to build this church as a memorial to her husband. The temple was built in historical eclectic style, with a neoclassic facade, placed on top of a hill that can be seen from far away; it was consecrated in 1891. The author of the design is unknown. Inside can be seen the sculpture of Christ, work of Romairone, in Carrara marble.

The parish was established on 30 October 1919. Nowadays the Salesians of Don Bosco run an oratory devoted to children in situation of social risk.
