Cristin Goronwy

Christina verch Gronwy (Welsh "Cristin") was the daughter of Gronwy ap Owain ap Edwin, son of Owain ap Edwin. She was born before 1124. Cristin was the first cousin of Owain Gwynedd, her husband. This second marriage of Owain was not legal in the eyes of the Church, because they were cousins.

Upon the death of her husband Owain in 1170 she supported her sons Dafydd and Rhodri in their attack upon their half-brother Hywel in 1170 to get control of Owain's estate and the inheritance.

Owain ap Edwin, Lord of Tegeinel, was the grandfather to Cristin and her husband Owain.
