Career

Craig Davies was born on 15 November 1960 in the UK. He entered the workforce immediately after highschool and in 1987 he founded Davies Electrics, a retailer of high end kitchen appliances in Woodford Green, Essex. He ran for office in 1990 in an election for town council in the Paternoster Ward of Waltham Abbey in 1990. In 1993 he began to import American kitchen appliances into the UK. Davies' racing team is named for its sponsor, Sub Zero & Wolf appliances, for which Davies is the owner and Managing Director. Davies became involved with the company in 2004 when he began importing the brand's appliances into the UK.

In 2013 Davies founded SZMotorsport "a company formed to offer cost effective racecar preparation and track support from clubman’s level through to 24hr endurance racing" with a staff "built from a group of racing professionals and enthusiasts, engineers, experienced drivers, and specialist mechanics". Davies was the recipient of a Designer Kitchen and Bathrooms 2013 Innovation in Marketing Award. He has said of modern kitchen use, "Healthy meals are now seen as an important lifestyle choice and are driving consumers’ demand for combination steam ovens, which help consumers prepare delicious, healthful meals with ease." He has also been interviewed regarding outdoor appliances as well.

Racing career

In the mid-1990s in ModProd as a professional race car driver, but stopped competing in 1995. In 2010 he became the owner of and driver for SZ Motorsport in the Britcar racing circuit in the UK. Race wins for Davies include a 25 April 2012 win at the Britcar Production Cup race at Donington Park with co-driver Adam Jones. He was also the best RS500 car in the 2012 Silverstone Classic on 22 July 2012.
