Counting Crows discography

Counting Crows is an American alternative rock group who, to date, have released seven studio albums, two compilation albums and six live albums. Since the group's debut in 1993, they have also released twenty singles, of which three made the Billboard Hot 100. Two of those, "Hanginaround" and "Accidentally in Love", charted within the Top 40 of that chart.

Counting Crows' debut album, August and Everything After, was released in September 1993. It was released by Geffen Records, who have also released all of their albums to 2009 when they left Geffen. This album charted within the top 5 of the Billboard 200, and would eventually go on to become one of their highest selling albums, being certified 7× Platinum in both Canada and the United States by the Canadian Recording Industry Association and the Recording Industry Association of America, respectively.

Their second album, Recovering the Satellites, peaked at number one on the Billboard 200. The album's lead-off single, "Angels of the Silences", was a top 5 hit on the Billboard Hot Modern Rock Tracks (now Alternative Songs). Two more singles were released, both of which were Top 30 hits on the Rock chart.

With the exception of three albums, Counting Crows' albums have been certified gold or higher by the Recording Industry Association of America. Other certified gold releases are the 2003 single "Big Yellow Taxi" and the 2004 single "Accidentally in Love". The latter was released on the Shrek 2 soundtrack.
